Closed-cell aluminum foam is a new type of porous metal material with unique structure and excellent performance. Closed-cell aluminum foam refers to aluminum material that is formed by micropores generated by aluminum metal sheets and then expanded at high temperature to form a foam-like aluminum material. The bubbles inside are closed and airtight, forming an appearance similar to a "honeycomb" structure. The pores of closed-cell aluminum foam have a separate cavitation structure, and the holes are not connected. The density of closed-cell aluminum foam is relatively small, generally 0.1~0.4 times that of metal aluminum, which makes it have a significant lightweight advantage in application. The bending specific stiffness of closed-cell aluminum foam is high, 1.5 times that of steel, which makes it perform well when subjected to bending loads. The bubble structure of closed-cell aluminum foam can effectively isolate and absorb sound waves, playing a role in noise reduction. When the sound wave frequency is between 800~4000HZ, its sound insulation coefficient can reach more than 0.9. Closed-cell aluminum foam can effectively absorb energy when impacted, providing excellent shock absorption effect. When the porosity of aluminum foam is 84% ​​and the deformation is 50%, it can absorb more than 2.5MJ/m³ of energy.
