Industry 4.0 represents the digital transformation of the physical infrastructure on the factory floor. Low latency is necessary for time sensitive networks (TSN) over 5G, which enables distributed time-sensitive applications in new markets. The virtualization also enables managing the network as an IT workload, supporting cloud-native application deployment and orchestration.
